The first step is to plan and design your basement renovation. This includes deciding how you want to use the space, what features you want to include, and what your budget is.
Once you have a plan, you need to inspect your basement for any damage or repairs that need to be made. This may include repairing cracks in the foundation, waterproofing the walls, or installing means of egress.
The next step is to frame the basement. This involves building walls and creating openings for windows and doors. We will discuss how to conceal the support beams and columns to maximise the open space.
Once the framing is complete, we need to install the electrical and plumbing systems. This may include running new wires and pipes, installing new outlets and fixtures, adding a new water and drain lines, and additional HVAC.
Insulation is important for keeping your basement warm in the winter and cool in the summer. We can install insulation in the walls, floors, and ceilings for comfort and sound control.
Once the insulation is in place, we can install drywall on the walls and ceilings. We can also add texture to the drywall to give it a finished look. Suspended ceilings, shiplap or decorative ceilings are all popular options.
The next step is to install flooring in the basement. This may include carpet, tile, or luxury vinyl plank.
Once the flooring is in place, you can install lighting and fixtures. This may include recessed lights, track lighting, pendant lights, or chandeliers. Additional accent wall lights and LED strip lights add a great feel!
Trim and molding will add a finished look to your basement. This includes baseboards, crown molding, door and window casings. We select the style of doors to match the existing house, or create an entirely new look.
Adding any of these spaces will match your lifestyle and needs. Bathrooms, movie theatres, bedroom, wine rooms, kitchenettes, golf simulators, kids play areas, bars, saunas, spa rooms.
The final step is to add the final touches to your basement. This includes finish painting the walls, adding furniture, and decorating the space.
Basement renovation can be a big project, but it can also be a great way to add value to your home and create a new and inviting space for your family to enjoy
Tony and his team are prompt, respectful of your property (keep it clean!), and always do a good job. He is also very good at helping to problem-solve ways to keep costs down while accomplishing the overall goal. I have used them for numerous different jobs at my own property and at a rental property that I manage. Highly recommend.

A+ Job!
We had a complete remodel done back in May. Can\'t say enough positive things about Tony, his crew and this company. We didn\'t have any first hand recommendation, but we did our research and read many reviews. For some this may have been just another project, but for us this was a big deal. We waited and saved a long time for our bathroom remodel so we wanted to make sure we chose the very best contractor. We were drawn to Craftsman Construction due to its many positive reviews from satisfied customers. Now, on the other side of our beautiful bathroom remodel, I can tell you firsthand that all the reviews were true.
We just love every part of our new bathroom and we are so grateful to Tony and his team for making it happen! When the next project comes along you can be sure we will be calling on our new friends at Craftsman Construction.
